Collectors
Everyone knows what collectors are. Collectors are people who, well, COLLECT things. And not just any thing, mind you. Collectors tend to be very streamlined, very focused on what they are collecting, although some are more streamlined than others. Often, what they collect are items that have some sort of value, whether the value is sentimental, practical, or financial (although, quite frankly, collectors who collect for the sheer love of whatever it is that they are collecting are far more likable than collectors who collect items as some sort of status symbol or investment).
What collectors collect mainly come in two kinds – they can be antique, or they can simply be collectibles. The difference should be obvious enough: antiques are items that were made and/or used in the (often distant) past, whereas collectibles are items that are sold and manufactured specifically for collecting purposes.
They say that there is a hierarchy of collectors, depending on what they collect, how complete or extensive their collection is (which, might we add, is often meticulously arranged and prominently displayed in the collector's home), and how much their collection is worth. We at iCollectors.Com disagree with that statement, and as such, we are creating a site where collectors can come together and share their collections with the world.
